IM Oleg Badmatsyrenov leads the 47th Selangor Open Chess Tournament 2023 after 8 rounds. He has 7 points out of 8 and  is unbeaten only ceding draws to Genkeswaran Genivan and CM Tan Jun Ying.

Following closely just a half point behind are CM Tan Jun Ying and Kamalsyah Muhammad at 6½ points.

The last round will be played today.

The tournament is held at KL Gateway Mall and has 103 participants.
