Melaka International: Round 3 results

Out of 18 boards playing today, 9 turned out to be draws. No surprise as the players had played an earlier morning rounds so more draws in the later evening due to fatique is common. Again, there is no upsets and all the games were won by higher rated opponents except maybe FM Hamdani Rudin holding GM Arun Prasad to a draw on board 4. Mas overpowered Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan with the black pieces while Yeoh Li Tian beat Ismail Ahmad with the white. The only local player who got to meet a titled player was Zaidan Zulkipli vs IM Praveen Kumar of India. The India IM won that encounter.
