Clearly, both tournaments are symbiotic and have benefited from increased participation of players.
Coincidentally the Blue Chavaliers tourney which is usually in July is now in September - which is in the same month of the Malaysian Chess Festival (if it is on that is) . Hopefully the dates will align so that it can be a back-to-back event as well and not clash (which is possible) as these are officially events from two different country - they may not have the same communications like our local states.
