Setting up of a new blog network

I just saw Chris Pirillo video on the advantages of a blogging network so I thought of trying it out.
Since my nice is in Chess, I started out announcing to my readers if they wanted to set up a chess blog. I would host it on my subdomains in GilaChess.com. I got at least 5 emails indicating interest and in a few days 2 blogs are already active:
I'm pretty happy too that within the same day after announcing it on GilaChess.com main page, both blogs are already listed on Google's SERP.
