Blog GilaChess

My original blog on Exabytes is really getting slow. It's so frustrating that I can't even load a page for the whole day.

I've finally decided to slowly move all my content to my GilaChess.com instead of Maribelajar.com domain. Using a shared hosting service is a hit and miss kind of situation. You can either be lucky and hosted in a neighbourhood of good websites who don't suck up all the bandwidth or you can be really unlucky. Worse is if Exabytes comes over and blames you for sucking the bandwidth. I only have 100-200 visitors per day. Come on !! I don't have a forum or any huge bandwidth draining script.

Anyway no use complaining and the best thing to do is probably pay up for a better plan but I don't have the cash at this moment. Next year perhaps.

For now I can only switch over my blog to my faster server.

I just saw Chris Pirillo video on the advantages of a blogging network so I thought of trying it out.

Since my nice is in Chess, I started out announcing to my readers if they wanted to set up a chess blog. I would host it on my subdomains in GilaChess.com. I got at least 5 emails indicating interest and in a few days 2 blogs are already active:

• wisepawn.gilachess.com

I'm pretty happy too that within the same day after announcing it on GilaChess.com main page, both blogs are already listed on Google's SERP.

Being at home so much I'm beginning to get addicted to watching TV series at home.

My current favourite is watching the new season of Stargate Atlantis, NCIS and Heroes (season 2). I know I shouldn't spend too much time in front of the brain rotting device but after some long hours blogging for cash, I think a nice 40 minutes of Heroes is a good reward :)

I've been looking forward to some holidays in Cameron Highlands so I've looked at websites about cameron highlands:-

However I suspect the first 3 websites are run by the same person or company as there is a certain similiarity to them. In addition, I don't know whether it's just me but I feel some of the reviews are biased to certain places of interest.

Anyway I'm planning to write up some materials while I'm visiting Cameron Highlands. Perhaps if there is enough material come up with my own Cameron Highlands website ? :)
